On June 6, 2025, Premier Barber Shop in San Luis Obispo hosted local artist Lakey as part of Art After Dark SLO, an event organized by SLO County Arts. The shop turned into a temporary gallery, bringing together clean fades and original artwork for a relaxed, community-focused night.

ArtcoLab helped feature Lakey’s work in a way that fit naturally with the shop’s style—no extra fluff, just solid visuals in a well-loved local space.

These kinds of collaborations show how small businesses can support local artists in simple, effective ways. A little curation, some clean walls, and you’re not just offering services—you’re building culture.

We’re always looking for ways to connect creative work with local spaces. If you’re into that too, let’s talk.
