A Fresh Coat for a Pismo Classic

On November 2, 2024, one of Pismo Beach’s most iconic murals—originally painted by John Landon—got a careful refresh by Lakey, with support from ArtcoLab.

The update focused on restoring color vibrancy and sharpening the black linework while preserving the original design and character. It’s the same mural locals know, just cleaner, brighter, and built to last a few more seasons of sun and salt air.

Public art ages like everything else—but with the right touch, it stays timeless.

ArtcoLab is proud to help carry legacy work forward while keeping it true to its roots.
